Professional Career of Austin Robert Carlile

"Attack Attack!"

Way Back in 2005, Austin Robert Carlile founded a band named Attack Attack! with Nick White, Andrew Whiting, Ricky Lortz, Johnny Franck and Andrew Wetzel in Westerville, Ohio, USA. If Guns Are Outlawed, Can We Use Swords? was the bands debut EP which featured Austin Carlile along with Someday Came Suddenly, which was their debut album. American music magazine Alternative Press reported that Austin Carlile was fired from Attack Attack! while on tour in 2008. He went on to take part in a new project name Of Mice & Men.

“Of Mice & Men”

The day that he proclaimed his departure from Attack Attack! Was the day he announced the formation of a new band with Jaxin Hall. This new band was named Of Mice & Men. Several other members were recruited. Two years on, in 2010 on February 23, their debut album was scheduled for release. However, this was delayed until March 9. In September that same year, it was rumoured that Austin Carlile would replace Craig Owens of Chiodos. However, this rumour was dropped when Brandon Bolmer replaced him instead.

For several months, Austin Carlile worked towards a brand new project, until on January 3, 2011, when he was invited back into Of Mice & Men, and collaborator Alan Ashby would be joining the band as well. With Austin Carlile replacing Jerry Roush and Ashby added to the band as rhythm guitarist, their previous rhythm guitarist, Shayley Bourget was repositioned to the bass guitar.
