Chester Bennington of Linkin Park


Chester Bennington Born March 20, 1976 is a musician, singer, songwriter and actor. He is best known as a singer and songwriter for the rock band Linkin Park.

Bennington became known as a singer with the first album of Linkin Park, Hybrid Theory, in 2000, which was a huge commercial success. The album was certified Diamond by the RIAA in 2005, becoming the first best-selling album of the decade. Linkin Park discs in the studio with Meteora, Minutes to Midnight, and A Thousand Suns, published in 2003, 2007 and 2010, respectively, the continued success of the group. Bennington formed his own band, Dead by Sunrise as a side project in 2005. The first album of the band, out of the ashes was released on October 13, 2009. In 2007, Bennington was placed at number 46 on the list of Hit Parader "Heavy Metal of All Time Top 100 Vocalists".

Bennington was born in Phoenix, Arizona. He attended Ironwood High School and Centennial High School. He has interest in music as a young man, referring to Depeche Mode and Stone Temple Pilots for the inspiration. Bennington parents divorced at the end of 1980. Later, he struggled with cocaine and methamphetamine dependencies. Bennington eventually won his drug addiction, and would continue to condemn the use of drugs in future interviews. He worked at the Burger King restaurant before his career as a professional musician.

Before joining Linkin Park, Bennington was a vocalist, Grey Daze, grunge band from Phoenix, Arizona. He left Grey Daze in 1998, but it is hard to find another group to sing in After almost completely stop his musical career, Jeff Blue, vice president of R & Zomba Music in Los Angeles, Bennington offered a test with the future members of Linkin Park. Bennington has finished his day job, and took his family to California, where he was a successful experiment, with Linkin Park, which were then called "Xero". Bennington and Mike Shinoda, the band's other vocalist, made significant progress together, but could not find a record deal. Faced with a series of rejection, Jeff Blue, now vice president of R & Warner Bros., intervened again to help the band sign to Warner Bros. Records.
